Artist Statement

My work draws from visions and memories – images that echo; like residue that sticks and stains your hands. The paintings compose a disillusioned puzzle with missing pieces that leave behind an unresolved affection. Utilizing a myriad of intimate settings, gestural figures, and intuitive compositions, my paintings search for comfort. Shuffling through the tension of my intersectionality and in-betweenness, my work seeks to understand the lasting effects of intersecting, normative cycles. I paint intimate, intense moments that reflect back to striking images that echo.
